Steuben Yellow Eye Bush Dry Bean

Phaseolus vulgaris

Steuben Yellow Eye

90 days — Also known as 'Molasses Face', the bush-type plants of 'Steuben Yellow Eye' reach about eighteen inches tall, are hardy, and prolific. The beans are a beautiful cream color with a splash of yellow over the eye (hilum).

It was once a very popular field bean in New England and is excellent for soups and baking. Interestingly, a Southern-style comfort food, simply called, "Yellow Eye Peas," is made from these beans. Each packet contains one ounce, which is approximately 50 seeds.
