'Yellow Mammoth' has very large leaves averaging twelve inches wide by twenty-four inches long, borne on plants that grow rapidly and produce high yields. The plant reach forty-eight inches in height when topped, or about six feet when allowed to flower.
Said to be "stemmed for export and used for Swiss wrappers,"[1] it is a multipurpose flue-cured type of tobacco historically used for cigarette and pipe tobacco blending. Tennessee was historically the primary growing region[1] for this old, pre-1880 variety. Our seed is grown from USDA accession number PI 552338. Each packet contains about 100 seeds.

Once tiny seedlings emerge, you can pick them out one by one and move them into individual cells. Very lightly fertilize and never allow the potting soil to dry out. Within 6 weeks it'll be ready to plant in the garden. Wait until all risk of frost is over before planting outdoors.

These plants easily grew 10 to 12 feet tall. Massive leaves the length of my arm and about 10 inches wide. Horn-worms loved them. I grow organic so we had all kinds of fun picking them off by hand. Very large yield, maybe a couple pounds per plant after dry. Still need to cure a little longer but still nice and decently high in nicotine.
